GOODBYE . . . FOR NOW

Well, I said a few months back that I'd give it until September. And here it is.

I still have no job. I'm to the point where taking that clerk position at 7-Eleven looks pretty good. I'll be disconnecting internet today. Of course, this means that I won't be paying for Xanga Premium - even if I thought it was worth it . . . and it isn't.

I'll still have limited access to the web through my cell phone. I can access Facebook through my cell, too, so if you would like to connect with me through that, please feel free.

I want to thank all of you who have been so supportive and faithful to spend time with me on this blog over the last four years. It has been a pleasure and an honor to come to know most of you. And, even those who were more of a challenge . . . well, take pride in the fact that you challenged me, for I need challenged frequently.

You have been my friends and my conscience. And I thank you for it. Untill next we meet, then . . .

The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. The Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace.

Sorry to see you leave. I didn't get to your site that often but, I know you were a force to be reckoned with. I'm up in Ontario Canada so don't know enough about US politics to really say much but, I've always admired your stand on things. Hope you make it back here sometime.

Take care man,
Steve

SAD to see you GO, Bro. Rob.

I won't be seeing you on FB much.....ONLY to promote the mag and my two books (when they come out soon). As you know, I was very upset when I tried to post something very important to me on FB on Saturday and they CUT ME OFF when I only had 4-5 sentences to go. After THAT debacle, (this you DON'T know), I visited a family member's FB who FOR YEARS I've argued about politics with but I had managed to make "peace" with. Well, after TEN MINUTES on FB with him on Saturday, that "peace" was totally DESTROYED. Bottom line: I'll be avoiding FB as much as possible for the sake of PEACE IN THE FAMILY, as well as the fact that IT CRAMPS MY STYLE. I therefore will NOT, for the most part, be reading your new posts there and will not be able to "scout" what pieces I'd like for the mag as I did HERE.

I hope you will SEND me stuff but in the meantime, you never answered my last question under your LAST post....can I put THAT post as your next article for The Daily War???

And let me conclude by saying this.....Xanga's loss is Facebook's GAIN. I love ya, Bro.

BTW, have you tried TWITTER??? You can do it right from your cell, it's FREE and I am on THAT every DAY. I'm at www.twitter.com/TheDailyWar

On Twitter I can ACCEPT the fact that there's only 130 characters one can use, but FB gives me JUST enough rope to get started REALLY writing and then CUTS the rope. I can't STAND that.....

It was great to find you on FB. Many times over the last couple of years you were partly the reason I hung around xanga. Of course I haven't been around for a while and did not realize you were still jobless. So you and your family are in my prayers.
Bless you bro and Godspeed on your job situation.

Won't say goodbye but see you later. I don't actually get to many blogs anymore but do read my subscriptions page daily. You have a real talent for the written word. You will be missed.

Don't close your blog! A heart and mind like yours that is so beautifully expressed through writing is what we need more of. I'm sorry to see you go, truly. Please let us know when, or if you come back. Peace be with you. My prayers are with you.

Hugs,
Kellie

Jobs are scarce now...good jobs that is. I'm self employed myself inspecting houses for Ins companies and if the housing market doesn't pick up soon its gonna get tougher for me. I've already moved my office into my house. Pretty much notning left to cut back on. But at least I do havework and I'm thankful to God for that. I don't get around xanga as much as I used too and didn't really get to know you. I have FB if you want to look me up. Gene Pounds in Memphis,tn. Don't give up on the job, God has one out there for you but sometimes until  that job comes, we have to do jobs we don't really care for. Take care!

There is no shame in honest work.   I was unemployed for a year, so I understand some of what you're going through.   I'll write you in my prayer journal.   God will lead you as you continue to look.  Don't give up.
